Traditional Red Bean Pudding Cookery Class
Red Bean Pudding (紅豆缽仔糕) is a traditional Cantonese pastry and also a popular street food in Hong Kong. The soft and chewy pudding, paired with red beans, is loved by both adults and children.
This cookery class uses organic red beans to make both traditional and pandan-flavoured Puddings. Participants will have the opportunity to harvest fresh pandan leaves from our organic garden, which will be combined with organic red beans and flour. The mixture will then be steamed in a small bowl made of clay. Participants will learn the step-by-step process of making both flavours of pudding, and the instructor will also provide tips on handling red beans and steaming the pudding at home.
Each participant will make six puddings to take home, please bring your own food container.
This cookery class is suitable for vegetarians and will be taught in Cantonese.
