This holiday season, The Green Hub presents the 'Old' Christmas Tree: An Ancient Treasure!
Nestled on the small hill at Wan Tau Kok, within Green Hub, seven Old and valuable trees (OVT) stand tall, each bearing a unique name and storied past. In collaboration with these arboreal companions, we've curated an array of enchanting experiences to celebrate the festive period with you.
Join us for an unforgettable 'Tree-mendous' Christmas adventure! We cordially extend an invitation to you all by immersing yourself in the natural splendor of our historic gardens through sensory-rich activities that engage your senses of sight, sound, scent, taste, and touch.
**Admission to the Green Hub is free, the opening hours are 10:00-17:00, and the last admission time is 16:30.

Nestled in the heart of Wan Tau Kok, the Green Hub stands as a gateway to a rich tapestry of history and nature. This scenic area boasts not only the esteemed status of a declared monument but also a treasure trove of historically significant structures at the small hill.
Embark on a journey of discovery with our dedicated docents. As you wander through the grounds, you'll encounter two Old and valuable trees (OVT) standing guard within the site itself. Venture further, and a leisurely hour-long stroll will reveal seven more venerable trees, each with its own tale to tell.

Harp Serenade Under the Old and Valuable Tree
Experience the magic of Christmas amidst nature's splendor. Enjoy a harp concert beneath a centuries-old tree, blending melodic notes with the whispers of the forest.
Relax on our historic lawn afterwards, letting go of stress as you soak up the festive atmosphere. Share in the joy of the season with fellow participants.

Sustainable Coffee Sips Under the Nature's Canopy
Witness the artisanal craft of eco-friendly coffee roasting firsthand. Bask in the warmth of winter sunlight as you watch beans transform into aromatic brews. Then, savor a cup of our carefully crafted coffee, knowing you're supporting sustainable producers and local communities.

Join our heartwarming workshop where you'll craft cozy nests for injured baby birds, and other animals in our wildlife rescue center. Your handmade creations will become comfortable homes for them, providing them with warmth and comfort during their recovery.
Participate in this meaningful Christmas activity and gift love to those who need it most – our feathered and scaly friends.

Join us in our heritage space for a creative journey through time. Under the guidance of our experienced instructor, master simple yet elegant brush strokes to bring OVT to life on canvas. Marvel at the majestic forms of these natural wonders as you recreate them in art.
All skill levels welcome. Come, let nature inspire your brush!

Amazing Trees in Our City
Discover the history and significance of the trees at the old Tai Po Police Station. Learn about the interesting story of trees and their role as homes for many wild animals. Welcome to visit the exhibition, and experience the interaction with our loving trees.

A Discovery Table
A Discovery Table will exhibit a variety of confiscated animal specimens, including birds, reptiles and mammals. By touching the specimens and listening to the information provided by the volunteers, we hope that visitors can be inspired and be respectful to nature.

Storytelling under the tree

The tour follows the Heritage Trail, with a guide pointing out the key architectural and ecological points of interest, and narrating the story of the Old Tai Po Police station.
